Product Review : Nivea Extra Mild Shampoo

Hello everyone!

Good morning!

I am a mom of an almost 3 year-old kid and as a toddler you know how likot and kulit they can be at this age. I have to admit that I'm really particular when it comes with the products that I use for her kasi she have sensitive skin, something na she got from me and his daddy (andami naman makukuha sa amin mga ganito pa). I tried some baby products and I have to say na hindi sya compatible sa skin ni Ashaya kaya we end up using it kasi nakakahinayang naman itapon, tiis ganda lang ang peg kahit parang alambre ang buhok ko everytime na gamitin ko ang mga shampoo na yun.

Anyway, one time while doing my grocery na-compare ko lahat yung mga dati ko binibili na mga shampoo sa product na ito ng Nivea, ilang times ko na din sya hindi binili kasi mas mahal sya dun sa mga ibang brands. My mistake, kasi it turned out na hiyang sa anak ko ang shampoo na ito.Pikit-mata ko sya binili kahit na talagang namamahalan ako for a shampoo haha!

The first time we used this product natuwa talaga ako kasi napaka gentle ng smell nya and talagang no tears during the bath time unlike dati with the old shampoo na may iyakan scene sa toilet. Lesson learned so from now on I will be using Nivea Extra Mild Shampoo (Php 109.75 in SM Hypermarket) for Ashaya.

Lunch date at Dad's Megamall with the GTCC Manila!

Hi everyone!

Good morning!

It was a rather exhausting week at work, good news and not so good news. I'd rather not elaborate on those issues.

I believe despite of the not so good news we are still able to enjoy the perks of being a team. An A-Team at that. We have this monthly thing at work that if were able to hit our target scores we get an incentive and that being said, I am blessed to be with a team who are all so awesome that we were able to get this in almost a monthly basis. Ang galing nila di ba? Hahaha!

A lunch date with the GTCC Manila at Dad's SM Megamall.

Food Trip in Baguio

Hi everyone!

Good morning!

Baguio is the known for being the summer capital of the Philippines we all know the reason for that and it is for the cold bed weather. Given a chance to live here hindi ako tatanggi. I love the weather here. Swear!

Since this is going to be the last part of that Baguio series let me share the food that my family enjoyed during our stay.

A dessert haven with the family at Visco's Restaurant and Cake Shop along Session Road.

4 cheese pizza

Strawberry shortcake, one of the best I've tasted

Strawberry Vinegrette

Blueberry Cheesecake, yum, yum, yum!

This cafe is located in Camp John Hay.

And this is what I had for breakfast the last day we were in Baguio:

Tonkatsu with rice

Enseymada for dessert
Other in between meals is Jollibee and Mc Donalds since I have Ashaya to feed, as if naman papayag sya na hindi kami dun mag take out haha!

Well, hope you liked my Baguio escapades until next time.
Is December too soon?
I have plans of making this a yearly thing with my family. :)

Have a fruitful week ahead guys!

Baguio Trip Part 2

 Hello everyone!

Good day!

This is the long over-due part 2 of our Baguio trip.

Sunrise from where we stayed, awesome!

Since this is my 2nd time to tour Baguio and I have a kid na kailangan ko bitbitin all the time hindi na ako masyado nakapaglibot but next time I'll make sure that my itenirary na ako para mas madami ako mapuntahan.

We travelled from Pangasinan going to Baguio and since hindi naman ako ang nagddrive hindi ko alam ang daan (as if naman they will let me drive Optimus lol) so most of the time during the trip eh tulog kami ng anak ko.

First stop was Camp John Hay dahil sobrang malapit lang dun yung place kung saan kami magstay salamat sa friend ng brother-in-law ko. This is really helpful kasi nga hindi kami nakapag pa-book ng accommodation prior the trip. Expected na ito dahil sobrang biglaan ang trip, nice. :

As the picture states, Botanical Garden sayang my vandal yung sign

And daming tao!

Syempre, hindi naman makukumpleto ang Baguio gala kung di pupunta ng SM Baguio at eto naman ang scene sa pagakyat papunta dun...madaming tao literal na makakabunggo mo sila promise.

View from SM Baguio

Baguio trip will not be complete without having a picture sa place na ito di ba?

Well, hindi ako kasama sa picture na yan infact wala ako sa isa sa mga yan hahaha!

Have a great weekend guys, stay safe!

Baguio Trip

Hi everyone!

Good morning!

One more day and we will soon be saying goodbye to 2014.

What have you been up to these holiday season and super long weekends?

Whatever it is, be sure to have fun and make the most of your well-deserved vacation. :)

As for me, well I have to work on the 24th and 25th kasi sa new year's eve ako nakabakasyon but everyone else in my family is on vacation mode na. We made plans to go to Baguio since November pero our schedules won't just meet. So, 3 days before the weekend nakapagdecide na din na Saturday ng umaga ang roadtrip.

First stop, San Fernando La Union.

The reason for the side trip to La Union is to basically try their bulalo and magswimming sa beach. Unfortunately, after 3 attempts in finding a bulalo restaurant, either ubos na or matigas pa ang baka. So, in the end hindi namin natikman ang bulalo kundi ang sabaw lang. We came up with the idea na baka wala naman talaga pinapalambot na baka sa malalaking kaldero na nakasalang sa harap kundi sabaw lang talaga ang mga yun. Haha, wala lang tamang hinala lang, blame the bulalo craving. And with regards sa beach, hindi ko feel maglangoy kasi maaga ako nakapagbath and nakakatamad na magbihis pa ulit. Simply said, tamad lang talaga ako haha!

Since it's the holiday season and biglaan lang ang trip we were unable to book for a place to stay. So, we searched the net and found Sea and Sky Hotel in La Union. Ok lang sya, I mean kung gusto mo lang ng tutulugan for a night at madami kayo na magkakasama ok na yun plus malapit lang sya sa bayan just a tricyle away (15 pesos lang ang pamasahe).

Let me share the view from our room.

Welcome to Pangasinan!

If you have plans to spend the weekend in LaUnion and you are in a budget, you may want to try this place:

Take care y'all!

Buses

Hello everyone!

Good day!

Hey, hey, hey I am back!

Yeah, I know it's been ages and I am sorry. I am really adjusting to all the mommy duties and now finally I'm getting used to it. So, am I forgiven? Say yes. :)

Well, what's new? Nothing much.

Oh yeah, there is something to share about living east of Manila. I've been living in Rizal since 1985 on and off and one thing is constant the G-Liner buses. I studied in Sta. Mesa and during my time the LRT 2 was not yet constructed so we rely on these buses, I actually call these bus Gapang Liner (G stands for Gapang, peace out) especially those times that I left home late and my first class is 7.30am haha!

Lately, like 3 or 4 years ago some other buses appeared from nowhere and providing more choices for passengers. They are big helped during rush hours. Call me loyal to these buses, even with the other choices and added feature offered by other buses like wifi I still choose to wait for G-liner buses. Why? For one, I grew up seeing them and to be honest some of the drivers and conductors that I met in passing while in college some decade ago ( I know, i know I am old haha, guilty much di ba?) still works for the company. The benefits must be good for them to stay that long. Why am I writing about this? I am happy with the service over the years, FYI I never got a free ride in all of those years. The fact that a lot of people were able to reached home safely in all those years says something about their company.

I am just one happy customer :) !

Versions : Sinaing na Pata

Hi everyone!

Good morning!

Miss me? I know, I am sorry that I was unable to post lately. 2 weeks ata? I have been too busy with my mommy duties as husband left to work overseas na.

Before we moved back to my Nanay's place, I granted his wish to taste the sinaing na pata. Unlike paksiw na pata, this is cooked with kamias na tuyo and not vinegar to make the meat taste sour. I guess this is the version of sinaing na isda, something that we both grew up eating while we were in Batangas.

Ingredients :

  • 1 1/2 kg pata
  • 5-6 cloves             garlic
  • 1 medium              onion
  • 30 pesos                kamias na tuyo (add more to make taste the sour taste)
  • salt and peper to taste
  • enough water to cover the meat.
Procedure :

1. Wash meat thoroughly, drain. Set aside.
2. Wash kamias na tuyo 3 times to make sure that it is clean.
3. In a pot, place the kamias in the bottom, next the pata.
4. Add garlic, onion, salt and pepper then water.
5. Simmer for 1 hour or until the meat is tender.
6. Serve with white rice.
