What's in a Jollibee spaghetti that kids love?

Hi everyone!

Good morning!

On Sunday afternoons, after our short visit to my Nanay's place, it's like an unknown agreement that we would have our dinner out. Normally, we will have take-outs from Mang Inasal since it's the most convenient place near us, but recently, we will dine in to avoid cleaning na (tamad lang hehe). We would frequent at Jollibee because Ashaya loves their spaghetti and it got me thinking what's in their spaghetti that kids and adult love? I know how to cook a few dishes and also tried to experiment with my pasta sauces but then I still cannot get the taste of that sauce in their spaghetti.

It never fail to make me smile seeing Ashaya savor her spaghetti until the last strand, that includes seeing all the sauce smudge on her face. It looks so young and innocent. :)

Here's the proof:

Dad, can I touch Jollibee's face, please?

Seryoso, mabagal kasi ang nagpapakain eh haha!

Mom, more!

Quota na sa part na ito :)

Kuya and Ate's 14th anniversary treat at Conti's Bakeshop & Restaurant Serendra

Hi there!

Good morning!

On June 10 marks the 14th anniversary of my Ate and Kuya. Biro mo yun, 14 years na pala ang nagdaan?! It's one event in our family that we always look forward kasi for sure na madami food plus anniversary is one celebration that we really observe aside from Ashaya's milestones.

Anyway, the dinner was set at 5:30pm but since we will meet Nanay in Robinson's Galleria, we had to leave earlier than the normal kaya as early as 1:30pm andun na kami. Excited much di ba? We were supposed to go to Serendra Strip by cab, but Kuya and Ate pick us up so that we can go there together thankful ako since wala ako idea how to get there ng commute lalo na kasama
si Ashaya.

We were an hour early kaya may side trip pa kami and had the chance to walk inside Market! Market!(pagutom, kumbaga!). I think this is just my 2nd time to visit the place, first was around 2010? Out of the way naman kasi effort talaga kung wala ka naman car di ba?

Pixie haircut

Hi everyone!

Good morning!

New haircut, new beginnings? Do you agree? What's your say?

No need for argument. It will depend on what the person feels at that particular moment. If she feels the need to changed her hairstyle? I say, for no particular reason? Go for it! Personally, it's one way to beat the summer heat although nung teenager pa ako (matanda na kasi ako ngayon, haha) from time to time I will really have my hair super short (kahit hindi bagay) kapag sobrang happy ako or kapag bigo just so people will know na bawal ako biruin kasi may pinagdadaanan. Emo lang.

As a mommy, we play different roles in our everyday lives. So yesterday, I considered myself a top rank hair stylist and gave Ashaya her 2nd major haircut (yes, ginawa ko expirement ang buhok ng anak ko, buti maayos ang kinalabasan). I cut her a hair like the famous pixie haircut and it turned out great as she look younger, like 6 months old haha.

Which got me thinking that when she was just 6 month old, we call her "Kambo" kasi nga konti lang hair nya. By the way the haircut was inspired with the Tinkerbell backpack that she got as a gift. (Thank you sa sponsor!)

Wondering, how will I look like if I try this haircut. naku, hayaan na natin yun parang hindi kaaya-aya Haha...

Food trip of the week : Cheesy Spaghetti

Hi everyone!

Good morning!

My family loves pasta.

I recall my ate telling me that we can live in Italy because we can survive eating pizza and pasta everyday (or anywhere else that pizza and pasta is made). We still live here in Manila though but our love for any pasta dish never wears out.

Today, I cooked cheesy spaghetti. I just need to improve on my plating though, halimaw kasi ang servings eh haha plus according sa isang miron kulang daw sa greens. (as if naman kumakain sya ng veggie hehe!)

Ingredients:

1/2 kg           SM Bonus spaghetti
3 cloves        garlic
1 medium      onion
1/4 kg           ground pork or beef
1 pack          Del Monte Cheese Magic (200 grams)
1 pack          Clara Ole' Three-Cheese
1 pack          SM Bonus cheese
1 can            SM Bonus mushroom (pieces and stems)
pepper to taste

Procedure:

1. Cook spaghetti according to package instruction.
2. Saute' garlic, onion and pork/beef until brown.
3. Add Clara Ole' Three-Cheese simmer for a minute then add Del Monte Cheese Magic.
4. Season with a dash of salt and pepper.
5. Serve in a plate and top with grated cheese.

Optional:

Serve with garlic toast.

How to make garlic toast:

1. Slice baguette (available in Save More/ 40 per piece discounted if you buy 3).
2. In low fire, melt butter in a pan. Make sure not to burn it.
3. Adding crushed garlic, cooking for a  minute still in low fire.
4. Dip the sliced baguette in the melted butter and garlic mixture.
5. Place in oven toaster for 3 minutes or until brownish.
6. Serve and enjoy!

Adventure : Vikings SM Marikina / Dad's day

Hi everyone!

Good morning!

The first time that I have been to Vikings was with my teammates enjoying our dinner incentive and I was amazed with the wide selection of food plus the fact that it is free? Ang saya!
I have to admit na since it was my first time, di ko alam saan kukuha ng plato, ganun ako ka walang alam..well, there is always a first for everything di ba?

Here is the mandatory group picture of that experience..(mandatory kasi kailangan makita ng client na nagdinner nga kami, ebidensya kumbaga haha!)

Standing left to right : Bossing, JR and Me Seated  left to right : Aiza , Regina, Aben, Tito Boy (medyo payat pa ako nun!)

GTCC Manila

Last weekend, we went to Vikings Marikina to grant husband request for his special day. It was convenient for us since we live in Rizal and it's a ride away from our place. I can say that it was sulit for us kasi nga andami food selection (at madami kami gutom!) Pig-out talaga ang peg namin mag-anak haha! It's good that I made the reservation ahead, kasi if not, we will wait in queue andami pa naman tao kapag weekends.
